The temple named Nageshwar Nath Mahadev is a holy temple present in Ayodhya. Nageshwar Nath Temple Ayodhya is a Mantra temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is the most beautiful temple built on the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya. Due to its proximity to the Saryu River, its importance increases further. Mythological History: 

Ayodhya, the city of Shri Ram, is that holy city, to wash the feet of which Sarayu is also distraught. The world of devotion and devotion belongs to Lord Bhole Shankar, the arayadhay of Lord Shri Ram. It is said that the place which belongs to Vishwanath ji in Kashi, the place which belongs to Somnath ji in Saurashtra, the same place belongs to Nageshwar Nath ji in Ayodhya. Nageshwar Nath Temple is the only temple of Lord Shiva in Ayodhya, where all wishes are fulfilled just by visiting. Lakhs of devotees perform Jalabhishek here in Sawan and pray for the fulfillment of their wishes.

It is believed that in Treta Yuga, when Lord Shri Ram was leaving Ayodhya for Saket, he divided his Vishal empire into eight parts, which, apart from his sons Luv and Kush, were divided among his brother's sons Subahu, Angad, Pushkar, Manibhadra.  And Neel was equally distributed among Bhadrasen. It is believed that Kush ji had got the throne of Kaushambi, After some time the thought came into Kush ji's mind that he should visit the city of Ayodhya, only then he should come to the holy city of Ayodhya or Saryu Ghat. While he was taking a bath, his bracelet fell in the river Saryu. He was very distressed that his bracelet had disappeared. This was the same bracelet that was gifted to Lord Shri Ram by Maharishi August Ji, and Lord Shri Ram ji had given it to his son Kush ji as a gift. Kush Ji searched for that bracelet for a long time but he could not find it anywhere, The Nagraj of Saryu River got his bracelet, and he gave the same bracelet to his daughter as a gift, her daughter was very happy after getting this bracelet. After some time, when this information came to Kush ji that his bracelet was with Nagraj's daughter, he requested Nagraj to give back that bracelet, he requested Nagraj to give back that bracelet, But his daughter refused to give. Hearing this, Kush became very angry and started a war with the Nagraj. The war between Kush and Nagraj lasted for many years. Due to this Nagraj became very upset, only then did he meditate on Lord Bholej, Nagraj's fierce Pleased with his penance, he appeared on the Saryu river. To end this war, Bhole Nath suggested that Nagraj Kumud get his daughter married to Kush. Kumud got his daughter married to Kush and his daughter gave that bracelet to Kush. It is believed that his daughter was a devotee of Shiva, so Kush got the temple of Shiva built on the Saryu River, which is famous as the Nageshwar Nath temple. Nageshwar Nath Temple is one of the 108 important temples of Lord Shiva on the land of India.

The history of this temple is considered to be not only several hundred years but ages old, but also includes within itself the love story of Kush and Nag Kanya. According to the facts, Nageshwarnath temple was built by Ram's son Kush. This temple was in good condition till the time of Vikramaditya but gradually the condition of the temple started deteriorating. For this reason, Nageshwarnath temple was rebuilt by Safdarjung's minister Naval Rai in 1750 and this temple is still standing in the same condition.



Timing Of Temple:

Nageshwarnath temple is open for devotees and tourists to visit every day from 05.00 AM till the evening aarti. If you are going on a trip to Nageshwarnath temple, then remember to keep 1-2 hours of your time for a pleasant visit to the temple. Provide travel.In the temple, morning aarti is performed from 05.00 AM to 06.00 AM, and evening aarti is performed from 08.00 PM to 08.30 PM.

Although every festival is celebrated with great pomp here, on the day of Shivratri, the marriage of Lord Shiva is performed with great pomp and the main attraction is the marriage procession of Lord Shiva. Grand Jhaki is decorated on the first Monday of Sawan. Aarti of Lord Shiva is performed with 1051 lights and Kush Jayanti is celebrated on Shukla Purnima of Sawan. The doors here remain open for the devotees from 05:00 AM to 08:00 PM and the morning aarti takes place at 05:00-06:00 AM and till 08:30 PM.
