Rinmukteshwar Mahadev Temple is a very sacred temple. Regarding this, it is believed that due to the call of the devotees, Lord Shiva himself had descended to free them from debts. Therefore devotees come here to get rid of their debts and also get the blessings of Lord Bholenath. Rinmukteshwar is located in Ujjain city located in Madhya Pradesh. According to the belief, by performing Jalabhishek here and having darshan of Bholenath, all the sins of the devotees are washed away and with the blessings of Lord Shiva, they are saved from premature death. By visiting this holy place and worshiping Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati along with Shiva becomes happy and takes away all the sorrows, sufferings, and obstacles from life. Rinmukteshwar Temple is one of the important incarnations of Lord Shiva. By merely coming here and doing great chanting and penance, all types of debts of the devotees are eliminated. And sorrows are eliminated from life. By worshiping at Rinmukteshwar Temple, ancestral debts and all types of worldly debts are basically eliminated. It is believed that Lord Shiva had taken the form of Rinmukteshwar only to free one from debts.



 Mythological History:

Ujjaini, the world famous city of Mahakaleshwar, is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, where Lord Shiva resides in every corner. There is also a Mahadev who comes here and his Mahadev takes away his debts. This temple is famous by the name Ranmukteshwar Mahadev. It is situated on the holy banks of the Moksha Dayini Shipra river, about one kilometer away from Ujjain city.

It is believed that by worshiping Lord Mahadev in Rinmukteshwar temple, one gets freedom from all types of debts. It is said that in Satya Yuga, King Harishchandra had worshiped Ranmukteshwar Mahadev and then he too got freedom from debt. He had to donate as much gold as the weight of a rhinoceros to Rishi Vishwamitra, so he worshiped Ranmukteshwar Mahadev on the banks of Shipra. Due to this, he was pleased. Mahadev ji asked him to ask for a boon, and then King Harishchandra ji asked him for the boon of getting freedom from debt.

To get relief from all kinds of debts, devotees come here to worship Lord Shiva in this temple of Mahadev Ji, through which they get relief from all kinds of sorrows and also freedom from all kinds of debts. A special puja is conducted by the pundits and priests in the Rin Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple on Saturdays.This puja is known as Peeli Puja. This Dham, which is more than 5500 years old in the Shivalik hills, is said to have been developed by the Pandavas. This Dham is also called Chhota Haridwar. Any loan can be repaid with gold. Pandavas had freed themselves from debt by donating gold here. In the absence of gold, any person can buy gram pulses which is an object of Jupiter. Gold, turmeric, saffron, chana dal related to the planet Jupiter, remembering the name of one's Guru, worshiping Ganesh Gauri Navgraha Mandala, remembering one's name and clan gotra, worshiping it destroys all the heavy debts of the person. This worship is done on the banks of Kshipra in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal. Here King Harishchandra of Satyayug had worshiped Mahadev to get freedom from debt. The yellow puja performed here is also said to be beneficial for marriage and love marriage.

 A white marble Shivling is also present in the Mukteshwar Dham temple. Apart from Shivalinga, idols of other gods and goddesses including Lord Ganesha, Brahma, Vishnu, Parvati, Hanuman, and Nandi are installed here. It is believed that Lord Shiva had killed a demon here and granted him salvation hence the name Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple. Mukteshwar Shivdham is known as the ancient Pandava cave. This abode of Lord Shiva is beneficial in every way for the indebted creatures of this Kaliyuga.



Timing Of Temple:

A special puja is performed on Saturday by pundits-priests in Rin Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple. This puja is known as Peeli Puja. By performing this puja the person soon becomes free from all types of debts. Only yellow material is used in yellow puja. Like yellow clothes, gram pulses, lentils, the lump of turmeric, yellow flowers, and jaggery, all these things have to be tied with your wish and offered to Jaladhari.

Ranamukteshwar temple remains open 24 hours for devotees. Here worship and charity work takes place from 05:00 AM to 07:00 PM.
