Ayodhya Tirth Kshetra is actually a pilgrimage site for Hindus. Lord Rama was born in this holy pilgrimage area, and Lord Rama is considered an extremely important deity in Hinduism. Ayodhya is not just a regular city; It is also a spiritual center that tells amazing stories of the life of Lord Rama. Ayodhya Tirth Kshetra is one of the most important places in the land of India, it is believed in this pilgrimage area that this place is the birthplace of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram Ji. Devotees from all over the world come to Ayodhya Dham to get blessings from Lord Ram and Mother Sita, to get relief from troubles from Hanuman ji to get rid of the fear of untimely death from Lord Shiva, and to get the blessings of other Gods and Goddesses. Mythological History:

Ayodhya, also known as Saket and Ram Nagari. It is a historically and religiously important city located in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated on the banks of the sacred Saryu River and is the headquarters of the Ayodhya district. In history, it was also called 'Koshal district'. According to mythological beliefs, Suryavanshi/Raghuvanshi/Arkavanshi kings used to rule Ayodhya, in which Lord Shri Ram incarnated.

According to Ramayana, Ayodhya was founded by Manu. This city remained the capital of Suryavanshi kings for many centuries. According to Skandapuran, on the banks of Saryu, there is another city of Ayodhya with divine beauty, similar to Amravati. Ayodhya is a city of Hindu temples. Relics related to the Hindu religion can be seen here even today.

According to Jainism, five of the twenty-four Tirthankaras were born here. In order, first Tirthankar Rishabhnath ji, second Tirthankar Ajitnath ji, fourth Tirthankar Abhinandan Nath ji, fifth Tirthankar Sumatinath ji and fourteenth Tirthankar Anantnath ji. Apart from this, according to both Jain and Vedic beliefs, Lord Ramchandra Ji was also born on this land. All the above Tirthankaras and Lord Ramchandra ji were from the Ikshvaku dynasty. Its importance lies in its ancient history because it was the kingdom of the famous and glorious Kshatriyas (Suryavanshi) of India.



Places to Visit in Ayodhya Tirth Kshetra:

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi: The most prominent place in Ayodhya is Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, situated in Ramkot in the western part of the city. The four brothers Shri Ram, Lakshman, Bharat, and Shatrughan are seen here in their child form. Devotees from India and abroad keep coming here throughout the year. Ram Navami festival celebrated in March-April is celebrated here with great enthusiasm and pomp.

Kanak Bhawan: Kanak Bhawan located near Hanuman Garhi is an important temple of Ayodhya. This temple is popular for the statues of Sita and Rama wearing gold crowns. For this reason, this temple is often called the house of gold. This temple was built by the Queen of Tikamgarh in 1891. The idols of this temple can be called the most beautiful forms of India. Apart from daily darshan, all Samaiya festivals are celebrated with grandeur here.

Hanuman Garhi: Located in the center of Hanuman Garhi Nagar, this temple can be reached by climbing 76 steps. Ayodhya is called the city of Lord Ram. It is believed that Hanumanji always resides here. Therefore, before coming to Ayodhya, devotees visit Lord Hanuman before seeing Lord Ram. The most prominent Hanuman temple here is famous by the name "Hanumangarhi". This temple is situated on a high mound in front of the Rajdwar. It is said that Hanuman ji lived in a cave here and protected Ramjanmabhoomi and Ramkot.

Rajdwar Temple: It is one of the important sites of Ayodhya, located near Hanuman Garhi, Ayodhya region of Uttar Pradesh. This magnificent temple stands on a high ground with a high tapering shikhara and is visible from a distance. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. It is a fine example of contemporary architecture.

Nageshwar Nath Temple: It is said that Nageshwar Nath temple was built by Kush, son of Lord Rama. It is believed that when Kush was bathing in the Saryu River, his armlet was lost. The bracelet was found by a snake girl who fell in love with Kush. She was a devotee of Shiva. Kush built this temple for him. It is said that this is the only temple that predates the period of Vikramaditya. Shivratri festival is celebrated here with great pomp.

Shri Anadi Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple: Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple, the form of Panchmukhi Shiva is present at Gopratar Ghat in the head part of Ayodhya, which is considered eternal. By worshiping the five-faced Linga form named Ishaan, Tatpurusha, Vamdev, Sadyojaat, and Aghor described in Shaivagam, one attains both enjoyment and salvation.

Chhoti Dev Kali: In the holy city of Lord Shri Ram, Ayodhya, the city goddess Sarvamangala Parvati resides in the form of Mata Gauri in the Chhoti Devkali temple. In Shri Devkali temple, Mother Sita is worshiped with special faith and devotion in this Shakti Peeth as the family goddess. Ramnagari Ayodhya is prominent among the best pilgrimage places in the world. It is believed that when Mother Sita went from Janakpuri to her in-laws' house in Ayodhya, she brought the idol of her clan goddess Mata Parvati with her. Maharaj Dashrath ji had built the temple of Shri Parvati ji on the northeast corner of Saptsagar in Ayodhya, where Mother Sita and other queens of the royal family used to go for worship.
